Bishop James R. Rice Jr.,
is the son of the late Rev. James R. Rice and Bishop Doris Rice, both ordained AME Pastors. He
recieved his elementary education at St. Martin de Porres and is a graduate of Eau Claire High School. He began a military
career with the United States Navy after high school and served several years during peaceful times.
He answered the call to minister
in 1985 and in 1992 became Pastor of Rice Chapel Outreach Ministries
in Columbia, SC, founded by Bishop Doris Rice. Under his leadership the ministry
expanded its focus and mission.
His vision is to "reach out into the community with the Word of God and
empower the poeple to change their lives with God's plan and promise. To help those in need and give them the tools
necessary to continue helping themselves."
In 1995, Rice Chapel Outreach Ministries of Miami was organized by Bishop Rice
and Ms. Daisy Williams.
In 2001 Bishop Rice, along with his wife, Dr. Pastor J. GraceLyn Rice
merged and reestablished The Greater Harvest Christian Center (One Church, Twelve Locations).
Bishop Rice recieved his doctoral degree in 2001 and was consecrated as
Bishop in 2002. Bishop Rice is Chief Episcopate and General Overseer of several seperate
ministries... Rice Ministries Global (RMG), Rice Ministries International
(RMI), Greater Harvest Christian Center (GHCC), Nehemiah Family Services (NFS).
He is also Church Management, the Development Consultant, and Grant Writing Instructor. At this
current time he and Pastor Rice are in the process of birthing multiple works and directing several visions.
Bishop Rice believes that there are no limits to an individual's ability to succeed
if he/she trust in the Word, walks by faith, and works for the master.
Bishop Rice is an electrifying , and explosive preacher
of the Word of God, and a prolific master teacher with a expertise
in Vision, Destiny , and Purpose and
Power, challenging every believer to excel in Kingdom Power, through
Economic developement, wealth, and building favor
that God has richly given us.
